Greetings Brethren and Friends,
August saw the completion of our food bank collections. Thanks to everyone who donated. Other activities in August included the reception for Sister Rose Anne Cooley, the Wings Over Camarillo air show, the mini golf tournament, and the Past Master’s BBQ.
September is the completion of our collection drive for school supplies. Those supplies will be turned over to deserving schools after the stated meeting. The 2025 officers will continue to practice and qualify for next year. The “Gavel & Grub Club” will be meeting informally at Pedals & Pints for another fun social event on Friday, September 13, at 6:00 PM.
On Sunday, September 29, the Los Angeles Masonic Service Bureau will hold its annual meeting to review the legislation to be voted on at the annual communication of Grand Lodge. The meeting will take place at Burbank Lodge #406 starting at 9:00 AM. As usual, Most Worshipful R. Stephen Doan will lead the discussions. This meeting is open only to master masons. Anyone attending Grand Lodge and especially the pillar officers and the voting past master are encouraged to attend this meeting.
The October stated meeting will be the official visit of our Inspector, Worshipful Eric Bertolli. The attire for the officers is tuxedo. The summer will be over, and the attire for sideliners will return to coat and tie. October will be the start of our clothing drive for the Midnight Mission. Please bring gently used clothing to lodge for this worthy cause. The donations will be delivered in November. On Saturday, October 5, our Eastern Star chapter will be supporting the Relay for Life cancer walk at California Lutheran University. Also on that Saturday we will be presenting the 2024 Hiram Award to Worshipful Brandon Lippincott. We are planning a dinner in the hall at 6:00 PM followed by a formal presentation in the lodge room. You don’t want to miss this special event. Reservations may be made by emailing me at [email protected].
Flyers for all events will be include in the usual weekly email blasts. As always, please check out the Masonic Family Calendar of events on our website, conejomasons.org, for details on all regular meetings and special events.
