Brethren and friends,

At Conejo Valley Lodge, we have an exciting lineup of events and initiatives in the coming months, and we encourage all of you to get involved. Here's a quick overview of what's happening:

Canned Food Drive: We're collecting canned foods to support the Conejo Valley Food Bank. Please bring your contributions to any of our events at the Lodge.

District School of Instruction (DSI): Join us on September 14th at Hollywood Lodge to expand your Masonic knowledge and skills.

Memorial for Worshipful Reese Padfield: Join us on September 16th at 11 AM at the Pasadena Scottish Rite to pay your respects. Carpooling options are available.

Masonic Degrees and Events: We have a Second Degree on September 12th and a Past-Masters Degree on October 10th. Positions for the Past-Master's Degree are still available; reach out to Worshipful Steve Hood if interested.

Support Public Schools Month: In October, we'll be collecting school supplies to make a positive impact on our local schools. The presentation will be made at our October Stated meeting.

Rotary Street Fair Collaboration: We'll be working with members of the Eastern Stars on October 15th at the Rotary Street Fair. It's a great way to connect with our community.

Annual Communications: From October 27th to 29th, we'll host our Annual Communications event. We encourage all members to participate.

Relay for Life: On October 30th, we're participating in Relay for Life, a crucial event in the fight against cancer. Contact us for more information.

We hope to see you at these events as we come together to serve our community and strengthen our Masonic bonds. Your participation and support are invaluable to us.

Since last month, the lodge has been experiencing growth in membership. On first Tuesday of the month, we had our Stated Meeting for September, and I spoke with a couple of prospects. All of them have received applications, and we voted one of them in to receive the degrees and become our candidate for this year's Table Lodge.

I have noticed that some of the prospects have a lot of family history in the Masons, including some multi-generational connections. It is wonderful to see the family influence still present in Masonry!

In the coming weeks and months, we have more events scheduled and are looking forward to seeing all the brethren, family, and friends.
