Greetings Brethren and Friends,

The Annual Communication of Grand Lodge took place in San Francisco on the weekend of October 25-27. Conejo Valley Lodge was well represented by six voting delegates along with other members of the lodge also in attendance. The results of the legislation will be announced at the November stated meeting. During the business sessions, it was announced that Brother Peter Parsons, Chaplain of Conejo Valley Lodge, was selected as the Division VI finalist in the 2024 Ritual Competition. Congratulations, Bro. Peter!

The public ceremonies were conducted on Sunday. The American Flag was escorted into the auditorium by representatives of the four youth groups in California with Ella H., Grand Worthy Advisor and Past Worthy Advisor of our own Fidelity Assembly #242, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, in the lead carrying the flag. Later in the program Ella spoke eloquently about sharing the light that is within each of us and shining that light on those around us. Also on Sunday, Worshipful Brother Arthur L. Salazar Jr. was duly installed as Grand Master along with the other 2024-2025 Grand Lodge officers.

November will be a busy month for the Lodge. The stated meeting will include the annual election of lodge officers, Conejo Valley Masonic Center Association directors, and lodge investment trustees. November will be the conclusion of the Midnight Mission clothing drive. Please continue to bring gently used or new clothing (particularly underwear) to the lodge for this worthy cause. The donations will be delivered to the Mission on November 17. November will also include two fun social evens: line dancing on Saturday the 9th and bowling on Friday the 15th. Please make your reservations as indicated on the event flyers. There will also be a mobile blood drive at the lodge on Saturday, November 16, from 10 AM to 1 PM. Conejo Valley Chapter #632, Order of the Eastern Star, will conduct its public installation of officers on Saturday the 23rd at 1:00 PM.

The lodge will confer a first degree upon Mr. Daniel Weikel on Tuesday the 12th at 7:00 PM. This meeting is open to all masons. The lodge will confer a second degree upon Bro. Daniel Miller on Tuesday the 26th at 7:00 PM. This meeting is open to all Fellowcrafts and Master Masons.

Greetings from the South, Worshipful Sirs and Brethren. We just wrapped up our trip to Annual Communication and look forward to elections this month at our Lodge for the ensuing Masonic Year. This year isn’t over; however, we still have some degree work coming up and would love to see many of our members come out and support the Brethren through their Masonic journeys. We also have several activities in the month of November outside of the Lodge.
