Gratitude

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make our March Sweetheart event a success.

Lodge Survey

We are in the midst of conducting a survey asking members (1) what they like best about Lodge (2) what they like least, and (3) if they could change anything to make Lodge more fun, what would that be? If you have not yet received a call from someone, please email me your responses to: [email protected].

March 2023 Events

This month, on March 10th, the Spirit of Hiram is being presented by the Pasadena Scottish Rite; On March 14th, the offers are attending a DSI at our Lodge; On March 18th, we are hosting a "Paint and Wine" night at the Lodge. The cost is $35 per person to be paid at the door, but RSVPs are required in advance. Please RSVP as soon as possible to: [email protected]. On March 21st and March 28th, we will be doing two separate 2nd degrees (one each night).

Please try to make the time to attend as many of our events as possible. If you would like to make a suggestion for an event, don't be shy; let's talk!

Calling all Shriners: We will soon be hosting the first official meeting of the Conejo Simi Valley Shrine Club. More information will be coming once the date is set!

Final Notes

Lastly, should anyone have any questions, comments, or concerns, please reach out to me at any time or join us on the Thursday night before our Tuesday Stated for the Executive Committee meeting via ZOOM. Thank you all!

I hope that every Brother and their families are safe during this difficult time. Since my last letter, the entire state is under a stay-at-home order from the Governor, and all Masonic events have been canceled by the Grand Master. We had handled meetings by conference call and rescheduling degrees and stated meetings. Things are very different now, it's amazing how time can make such a big difference.

Hello Brethren, As we make our way through this period of wind, rain, and cold weather, I hope you and your families are safe and sound. This month, I would like to take a moment to thank all the brothers who have donated to the Junior Warden's Fund for Refreshment. The Lodge and I are most grateful for all your donations. No matter how large or small, every little bit helps. This will allow us to provide better refreshment for our future degrees, practices, etc.

Tech Forward

TL;DR

The Lodge thanks everyone for making the March Sweetheart event a success and is conducting a survey. There are various events taking place in March, including a presentation by the Pasadena Scottish Rite, a DSI, a "Paint and Wine" night, and two separate 2nd degrees. The Lodge is open to event suggestions and will host the first official meeting of the Conejo Simi Valley Shrine Club. The Junior Warden's Fund for Refreshment received donations, and the Lodge is grateful for any contributions. (Generated by AI).

This month, we fed the following line into "AI" and asked it create an image using the following description "An oil painting of a masonic lodge with symbols or icons representing a paint and wine night and masonic degrees at night time, digital art." That photo is the main image for this trestleboard. Obviously, there are some concepts it does not fully comprehend and cannot grasp context of how things should come together. For instance, it did not know what a 2nd degree was in Masonry and did not know how to incorporate that into an image, so we had to settle for the paint and wine (social event) and at night (when the degrees have typically taken place). Close enough, but the technology still a ways to advanced maturity, but interesting? It has potential to have potential.
