From the East

JUNE STATED DINNER & MEETING WILL BE TUESDAY, JUNE 10th at which time we will be switching to summer attire (Lodge or Hawaiian shirt and slacks). The Lodge will be dark on Tuesday, June 3, as we will be hosting a polling place for the elections.

Conejo Valley Lodge is doing great so far this year. We have conferred many degrees, including four 3rd Degrees, and have several more calendared for the coming weeks and months. We have hosted a very successful Masonic Education Night presented by our Sr. Grand Warden, Right Worshipful M. David Perry, and held many social events. But we’re not done! On June 24th, we will celebrate our 18th Annual St. John’s Festive Board with Most Worshipful John L. Cooper III, Grand Master of Masons in California as our featured speaker (flyer enclosed). This event is truly a highlight of Masonic Life at Conejo Valley Lodge! On July 19th, we are planning a BBQ for the four Masonic bodies of Conejo Valley to come together as one family (flyer enclosed). We are almost at the halfway mark for the year, but still have a lot to look forward to!

I’d like to congratulate Brothers Bachstein, Tatham, Gerald Garcia and Nicholas Garcia on being raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason. You have now received all the light of Freemasonry, but never stop learning and continue to grow your Masonic edifice. Becoming a Master Mason is the third a step in your life-long journey. Congratulations also to Brothers Rogers and Gambino on receiving their first degree in Masonry and becoming brothers in our Lodge. I know I can speak for the entire Lodge when I say “welcome”.

Once again, our Lodge has participated in Conejo Valley Days by working the money trailer. A heart-felt thank you goes out to Worshipfuls Lynn Wallingford and Dave DelDosso for coordinating this, and to Brother Escamilla for his efforts in coordinating our several Child ID events. Also, to all those who have volunteered their time to staff these events. They are a valuable service to our community and to our Lodge.

Are you receiving my Weekly Update emails on Sunday evenings? If you are not getting them, please contact one of our Secretaries or me, so we can get an updated email address for you! Also, check the Lodge’s web site calendar ( regularly to find out what is happening at our Lodge.

Please remember, Tuesday is Lodge night. We have a full calendar with events throughout the summer. Come to Lodge and enjoy its privileges!
