What a great year this has been for Conejo Valley Lodge so far!  The first three months of 2016 have been very busy for our Lodge.  We have already conferred several degrees, held our annual Widows & Sweethearts Dinner, gathered together for a Men’s Night Out, hosted a Masonic Education Night, had a good showing at the LA Masonic Service Bureau’s Annual Men’s Breakfast honoring the Grand Master, assisted our neighboring Lodge (Simi Valley Lodge #806) with conferring a 3rd Degree and even managed to coordinate our own Stated Meeting Dinners.  And we’re just getting started!  Over the next few

Brethren , ladies, and friends, we received a formal reply from our Eastern Star chapter that this year will be their last for preparing the stated meeting dinners. I want to thank them for their many years of service. Our Stated Meeting Dinners are an important part of our Lodge life. To our new visitors and applicants they are a window to our lodge and often form their first impression. For me they provided an elegant touch to our lodge dinners that I haven’t seen in other lodges. Results from the Stated Meeting Dinner Survey are in: I received 9

We will be trying to improve our Stated Meeting Dinner experience and we would like your opinion (everybody is supposed to have one). So take the effort and help us out with the survey that will be distributed during the dinner. Supporting our veterans was proposed at our February stated meeting and brothers showed their support. Acting on this support, Arthur Ruditzky, Edwin Escamilla and I attended the Ventura County Military Collaborative, where over 100 organizations provide services and support to our veterans. Our lodge’s offering is unique among all of these organizations, for we are the only ones endeavoring

Brethren, As the end of the year quickly approaches and . the new line of officers prepare to take the reins, I . am forced to look back and reflect upon my year as your Master and the state of our Lodge. Was this a successful year, and if so, why? Is the Lodge in a better state then when I was installed? Did I accomplish everything I wanted to do? These are difficult questions to answer, especially within the confines of a Trestle Board article. Simply put, I would say – “yes.” I think all who were active in

Brethren, Conejo Valley Lodge is busy! Our 2015 officers have already qualified on the 1st Degree for next year and are well on their way to qualifying on all three degrees. We conferred several degrees over the summer and will resume degree conferrals after the 2015 officer qualifications conclude in October. Additionally, we have held several social and Child ID events in the past months and have many more scheduled for the remainder of the year (See calendar for details). We will have the honor of presenting two brothers their Golden Veterans (50-year) pins at up-coming Stated Meetings – Brother

Brethren, Is the glass half-full or half-empty?  Are we halfway through the year or do we have half-a-year to go?   My feeling is that we have half-a-year to go!  We have already accomplished a lot this year, but we still have so much more in the remainder of the year that we can’t slow down now! On Saturday, July 19th, we have our first inaugural Conejo Valley Masonic Bodies Joint BBQ.  This will be a great opportunity for the Lodge, Eastern Star, Job’s Daughters and DeMolay to come together as one family.  See enclosed flyer. On Saturday, July 26th, our

Brethren, What a great year this has been for Conejo Valley Lodge so far and what an honor it is for me to be serving as your Master!  The first three months of 2014 have been very busy for our Lodge.  We have already conferred almost 10 degrees, held our annual Widows & Sweethearts Dinner, gathered together for several Men’s Night Outs and hosted a Masonic Education Night with the Sr. Grand Warden of California.  And we’re just getting started!  Over the next few months we have a lot planned, including our annual St. John’s Festive Board, an outing to

Brethren – the dog days of summer hopefully will end soon and with that a return to cooler weather. This means the end of casual attire for Stated Meetings and Degree nights. Beginning with the double 1st degree scheduled for Sept. 17th, the accepted attire at Stated Meetings will be coat and tie and for the Officers it means a return to Tuxedos for all Degree nights. There are a slew of activities as we move rapidly towards 2014. We start October as we do every month with our Stated Meeting. On October 1 we will announce the recipient of
